About Amy.Amy Zastrow

Whether it was in my corporate days or since starting my business in 2003, I found that it ultimately is about:  Helping people Kick Butt success in business AND life!

On the business side:  I spent my corporate days in Human Resources, Organizational Development and Training.  Therefore, it was my job to help the organization (and my clients) succeed. I did this in many ways:  Helping people craft their visions, values, goals and plans; design or streamline systems and processes; mentor leaders; create training and development opportunities to support organizational goals.

And I’m still doing those things today with entrepreneurs.  I love helping identifying what they want and helping them find the best path to success.  Ultimately, to learn what they need to learn and get out of their own way so they can help more people.

On the personal side — Living a Kick Butt Life is important to me is that my dad died when I was 13 (he was 48).  Therefore I have known for many years how precious and short life can be.   I want to make sure that others live a life they LOVE so they can live without regret.  I realized that even more in my corporate days when I taught The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  I loved the impact it had on people personally and professionally.  I learned to live my life aligned with my values.  Since starting my business I’ve dealt with the good and bad of life:  Marriage, birth of my son, Coaching Certification, death of people I held dear (step-dad, friend, cousin, aunts and uncles), two miscarriages, sick child and health challenges of family members, economic turns, etc.  Can you relate?

I KNOW it is important to build a successful business that is profitable (a person’s gotta live).  But I also believe that it is important to make room for life.  If someone close to you got seriously ill — would you be able to make room for that?  Would your business still operate at the same level?  Would you want it to?

My Strengths (I’ve taken the Strengthfinder 2.0 a few times so got a couple new ones!)

  • Strategic  – I can help see the gaps & they best way to get there faster
  • Maximizer – I continually see how something can improve to move from good to GREAT!
  • Ideation – I come up with more ideas than I (or others) can possibly implement.
  • Activator – I put ideas (and people) into action
  • Learner – I continually learn and grow.
  • Futuristic – I see visions of what can be and rise above it despite what is happening in the now (and help others do the same)
  • Self-Assurance – I’m confident in what I have to offer!

What about you.  Are you perfectly aligned to use your strengths?  Are you using your strengths to your best ability?  No?  Why not?  Your business should be built on your strengths, skills and knowledge.  When you do that you have more fun, are more fulfilled and make more money!
